Puan Zaida Khalida Shaari - Chairman

Puan Zaida Khalida Shaari was appointed as the Chairman of Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited (PEUK) on 31 March 2024. She is also a member of the Investment Panel at KWAP.

She joined Khazanah in 2007 and served as Executive Director of Investments until 2019. During her tenure, she oversaw real estate and education investments and played a crucial role in Khazanah's joint ventures and investment initiatives in the Iskandar region​.

Prior to Khazanah, Zaida was the Head of Legal and Company Secretary at PNB, where she led the Legal and Compliance Department and served as a legal advisor to the corporate finance group​.

Her extensive experience in legal, corporate governance, and investment management, combined with her educational qualifications, makes her a prominent figure in Malaysia's corporate landscape.

Puan Zaida Khalida Sahari holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. She is also a qualified barrister, having been called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, London, and holds an LLB (Honours) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom​.

Encik Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin - Director

Encik Hazman Hilmi was appointed as the Chief Investment Officer of KWAP on 3 January 2022. He also serves as a Board of Director of Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited (PEUK).

He was previously the Managing Director of Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd (DASB) – a wholly owned real-estate subsidiary of Johor Corporation (JCorp) and the Chief Executive Officer of AMAL by Malaysia Airlines – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Aviation Group. Prior to that, Hazman was with Khazanah Nasional Berhad where he served in various roles across the organisation over 12 years, including as the Senior Vice President of Khazanah Europe Investment Limited based in London, and Vice President of Khazanah Turkey Regional Office based in Istanbul.

Hazman has multi-sector experience in private equity and venture capital investments with a focus on strategy, investment execution, deal negotiations, and value creation planning.

He obtained his MEng (1st Class) in Engineering, Economics and Management from Balliol College, University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics & Political Science, United Kingdom.

Encik Akhari Aya Maziz Sanusi – Director

Encik Akhari Sanusi was appointed as the Principal Officer of Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited (PEUK) on 1 January 2026. He also serves as a Board of Director of PEUK.

He currently manages the London-based firm (a 100% subsidiary of KWAP) as an extension of the KL office, overseeing across asset classes (public equities, real estate, private equity, infrastructure) focusing mainly on UK and Europe markets.

Since joining KWAP in 2017, he has led, managed, and supervised investments globally across strategies (namely venture, growth, buyout, secondaries, and infrastructure) which resulted in a total investment amount of nearly USD3 billion via 36 funds and 11 direct/co-investments (including a capital restructuring exercise).

During his tenure at KWAP he has also spearheaded a number of new investment initiatives including KWAP’s first direct/co-investment venture exposure in Series B, selective exposure to distressed buyout and infrastructure core-plus investments for counter-cyclical returns during market uncertainties, as well as ramping up of KWAP’s direct/co-investment efforts with impact themes such as education, consumer, food security, and digital economy.

Prior to joining KWAP, Akhari was managing his own business development consultancy in the emerging markets, with a focus on Myanmar. Earlier, he was attached as a corporate finance professional with one of Malaysia’s largest listed conglomerates.

Akhari obtained his Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 2010. He also completed the NUS Business School Executive Education from National University of Singapore in 2011.

The Board of Directors are supported by eight team members across various asset classes.
